Local news & podcast — Saint-Laurent & the West Island
Pinecurrent covers Saint-Laurent and the West Island, one edition at a time.
A weekly newsletter and a companion podcast, written and recorded for readers and listeners along the Trans-Canada corridor — from Ville Saint-Laurent through Dorval, Lachine and Pointe-Claire. We sell three straightforward advertising placements to local businesses and organizations who want a steady presence with that audience.
02Advertising placements
Three placements, priced once and used as printed below. Each entry opens to the full description, what is included and how booking works.
1 Newsletter Sponsor Note $180 CAD
A 50-word sponsor note placed in our weekly Saint-Laurent and West Island newsletter, running across two consecutive editions. Built for local shops, cafés, galleries and community organizations based in Ville Saint-Laurent, Dorval, Lachine or Pointe-Claire. We help write the note, and you receive a short open-and-click summary after the second edition goes out.

Three host-read mentions in our weekly news and culture podcast, each placed mid-episode, for businesses and organizations with ties to the Saint-Laurent and West Island community. The package includes a short briefing call, script approval before recording, and a listen-count summary once all three mentions have aired.

Built for organizations that want a steady, recognizable presence with readers and listeners along the Trans-Canada corridor. Includes planning, creative support throughout, and a closing report at the end of the six weeks.

03Quick answers
- Who reads Pinecurrent?
- Residents and businesses in Ville Saint-Laurent and along the West Island — Dorval, Lachine and Pointe-Claire.
- How do I book a placement?
- Send an enquiry through the form below; we confirm the next available edition or episode.
- Do prices change?
- No — the three prices on this page are the full rate card, unchanged by season.
- Is there a minimum commitment?
- No. A single newsletter note or podcast package is a complete order on its own.
04How a placement moves
A full-frame axis, not a rail column — booking runs straight across every stage.
Enquiry
You tell us which placement fits and roughly when.
Booking
We confirm the edition, episode or six-week window and the price.
Creative
You approve the note or script before it runs.
Report
A short summary of opens, clicks or listens follows publication.
05What every placement includes
- Copy or script help before your note or mention runs.
- An approval step, so nothing airs or publishes without your sign-off.
- A short report — opens and clicks, or listen counts — once your placement has run.
- Editorial independence: the placement is clearly labelled and never mixed into news coverage.
06What is not included
We keep the offer honest. A sponsor note or podcast mention does not include:
- Placement inside our news reporting or editorial judgement about what we cover.
- A promised reader or listener response — we report activity, not outcomes.
- Design or production for materials outside the newsletter or podcast (that stays with your own team).
07Scheduling
The newsletter goes out weekly and the podcast records on a weekly cycle, so lead time is short: book a newsletter note at least five business days before the edition you want, and a podcast mention at least seven business days before recording. The six-week Corridor Partnership needs two weeks' notice so we can plan the community story alongside your other placements. We work Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 Eastern Time, and confirm every booking in writing before it is scheduled.
08About the prices
Each of the three prices above is the complete cost of that placement — copy help, approval and the closing report are all included, with nothing added later. Payment is due on booking confirmation. If you would like two placements combined outside the Corridor Partnership, we quote that as a simple sum of the individual prices; we do not create custom bundles or discount tiers beyond what is listed here.
09How we keep it consistent
Every sponsor note goes through the same short approval step before it is scheduled. Every podcast mention is scripted, read by the same host who records the episode, and checked against the approved wording before it airs. We use one production checklist for all three placements, so a Corridor Partnership advertiser sees the same process repeated four times, not four different treatments.
